Who is Julian S. Moiwai? I like to say I could be anybody, but that is not the truth - I am me. As a deaf first-generation American born to immigrant parents from Germany and Sierra Leone, I am a proud Peace Corps baby.

Videographer / Editor
With 10+ years of professional experience in social media, brand development and video production, I am a digital tech nerd who enjoys creating and developing various contents for social media, pre-concept writing various types of video, filming weddings and acting in commercials and short films. I am currently CEO at Moiwai Productions LLC, providing my clients professional services in videography and photography.

Drone Pilot
I hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, which allows me to legally operate unmanned drones for commercial purposes. The certificate reflects my knowledge of the rules and regulations that the FAA has set to integrate the use of drones into the National Airspace System. While following the rules, I value both structure and creativity in my work.

Actor
My first love is acting ever since having gone to Durham School of the Arts for theatre and later photography. While there, I took part of two main stage productions, playing the roles of Orin Dennis in Children of a Lesser God and Captain Keller in The Miracle Worker.

I have acted in product commercials for Amazon and Kay Jewelers and made my debut in a short film Far West. The short film was selected to SXSW 2022 and recently released on Omeleto’s YouTube channel with over 3.4M subscribers.

Julian’s Loves
In my free time, I enjoy flying my drone on nice days, going on photo shoots with the dopest shorts brand that goes by Chubbies, watching old movies, dancing to music and hiking with my dog LuLu.
